Cortijo Pulgarin Bajo is located in upper Axaquia of Malaga, in the middle ledge of the Costa del Sol headquarters of the Oil route and Montes route. It is surrounded by white villages as Alfarnate and Alfarnatejo. In 8 km from the cottages you can find 2 towns Periana and Riogordo, famous for it is ‘El Paso’ (Passion Play) during Holy Week, declared of national interest.
Sabar river, down from waterfalls, allows us to traverse along to the village of Alfarnate. In this village we are lucky to find the precious and renowned restaurante “Antigua venta de Alfarnate”, the rural restaurant Andalusia’s oldest, dating from the XIII century and it became famous prison where there were Jose Maria Luis Candelas and Tempranillo. Area of olive groves, almond trees, farmland and many mountains birthplace of the ancient olive trees origin of the olive trees “ verdiales” that lead to the best olive oil, “oil sherry”.
